In 2014, Tidal Vape wasn’t born out of a big idea or an elaborate business plan—it came from a small market stall in Southampton and a family that knew what it meant to struggle. At that time, we were facing one of the toughest periods of our lives. Bills were piling up, past ventures had failed, and giving up almost seemed like the only option. Almost.

We were a family who knew the value of hard work, and though we had faced setback after setback, each failure had left us with a valuable lesson. We had ventured into numerous businesses before, and every single one had failed — not just quietly, but in ways that humbled us to our core. But we learned. We learned to be resilient, to embrace the discomfort of falling, and to get back up even when it seemed impossible. For us, slipping up and dropping wasn’t something to be feared; it was just another part of the journey.

Our Moment of Clarity: Helping Others Quit Smoking

We’d seen close family members and friends trapped by smoking—not because they enjoyed it, but because it had become a habit they couldn’t shake. We’d watched it harm not just the smoker, but everyone around them. The idea of Tidal Vape was born out of a desire to offer a healthier alternative, to give smokers and their families a way out.

With what little we had, we set up a market stall, offering vaping products to help people quit smoking. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was personal. We talked to customers, heard their stories, and saw hope on their faces when they realized they could finally break free from smoking. Tidal Vape quickly became more than a business—it became a mission.

In 2015, we opened our first store in Bitterne Park, Southampton. Back then, vaping was still new to many people, and everyone—customers and vendors alike—was figuring it out. We were all learning together, but what set us apart was the care and service we gave every single person who walked through our doors.

Where We’re Headed

Fast forward to today: we’ve grown from that tiny market stall to 27 stores, many on the UK’s best high streets. And while we’re proud of how far we’ve come, we’re still the same family-driven business at heart. We’ve seen firsthand how our products have helped people quit smoking, and we’re not stopping anytime soon. We’re on a mission to lead the way in offering healthier alternatives, creating a community of support, and helping people reclaim their lives.

We’ve received thousands of stories from people who have successfully quit smoking, and every single one of them reminds us why we do this. Our goal? To be at the forefront of helping people quit for good, with innovative products, trained staff, and a commitment to making a real difference.

With a keen eye for strategic opportunities, he ensures Tidal Vape’s expansion aligns with its bold goals, while his expertise in sales and relationship-building drives the company forward.

Jugtar Landa, CPO of Tidal Vape, is passionate about turning visions into reality through strategic sourcing and global product distribution. He takes pride in building strong supplier relationships and creating robust supply chains that ensure high-quality products reach customers worldwide. With a knack for optimizing purchasing processes and enhancing the in-store experience, he focuses on retail designs that elevate customer interactions and boost sales.
